How To Smile At Life

We totally get that some days are nothing but shitty. We all get days that drag on and we agree wholeheartedly that it sucks.

Each of us are given a life to live the best way we can. It’s time to finally realize that we need to seize each day and smile more at life!

Keep trying new things. Engage in new activities, go and explore new places, eat a meal at a new restaurant, take a new route home. Do something out of the norm and maybe a little out of your comfort zone.

Embrace your weird. Every one has something weird about them. Some are weirder than others, but we need to understand that it’s our weird that makes us unique!

Find your happy place. Whether that’s literally a place that you go to feel peaceful, or maybe it’s resting your head on someones chest, or even just a playlist of songs that make you smile.

Accomplish something you’ve always wanted to do. Be that person who is always determined; the person who can walk the walk. Accomplish that thing and you have the power to inspire others.

Let’s give you another reason to smile. Check out these posts.

5 Things Everyone Should Aim For This Year

Late to hop on the resolutions bandwagon? Or maybe your resolution plan isn’t panning out as smoothly as you thought it would?

It’s OKAY! It’s totally okay if resolutions aren’t your thing. You have your whole life to better your mind and soul, so not keeping up with resolutions is no biggie.

So don’t stress, be motivated and ambitious. Aim for these things if you’re still wanting to be inspired this year.

Screen Shot 2016-02-03 at 9.06.03 am

1. Find the time to spend with friends
And we mean true, true friends. Not the low-key bitchy ones you stuck around with in High School. Embrace your genuine pals and go for that brunch date that you’ve always been talking about.

2. Go on an adventure
This is a no-brainer. Whether you want to travel with some company or by yourself – go out and broaden your horizons!

3. Think positively about yourself
Everyday look in the mirror and tell yourself a positive affirmation. Hopefully in no time, your daily “You’re a stunner” and “You’re a warrior” affirmations will secure your confidence in yourself!

4. Save up your pennies
Just so you have it, you know? Try really hard to save some extra dollars and if you do the math – you’ll save enough money to pay for a months’ rent or even buy a ticket to your dream holiday?

5. Give back
In this day and age, we’re so blessed to have what we have. We have to be reminded that a lot of people in our community don’t have it as good. Aim to give back, whether that’s donating some garments that don’t fit you anymore, or volunteering at a shelter.

Suprisingly wise Drake lyrics to live by

Real talk guys. Drake raps some low key inspirational and wise lyrics and we don’t even notice it.

He doesn’t just sing about hotlines blinging – you can find some real gems from deep tracks over the years. We decode Drake lyrics for you to be surprisingly inspired.

“If I don’t change now, I don’t think I’ll ever settle down”
– Special ft. Voyce

He’s got the right idea about finding the best you before you decide that it’s time to settle down. Be in the right frame of mind, surround yourself with the right people and be confident that you can support yourself.

“Told myself never again, I don’t let nobody in”
– Digital Dash ft. Future

Trust is something that has to be earned. It’s an important quality to seek in people because you shouldn’t let anyone fux with you.

“You should just be yourself. Right now, you’re someone else”
– Hotline Bling

It’s all about staying true to yourself. Never change yourself for the wrong reasons, especially for any f*ck boy! Stay golden always.

“Put that fucking dress on and work it kind of vicious”
– Shut It Down ft. The-Dream

We’re all about flaunting what you’ve got in whatever you’re wearing. Crop top? Distressed denim jeans? Your highest heels? Work it babe!

7 things everyone needs to remember at all times

In this day and age, it’s easy to let life pass you by. It’s easy to be caught up in the next thing that needs to be done that we don’t stop to be in the moment.

girls-1031538_960_720

So here’s your moment to pause life’s chaos for a few minutes and remember these seven things!

1. Drink more water
You already know that it’s super good for you! Drinking enough water has so many benefits like giving you healthy skin, gets rid of body toxins, boosts your energy, fights infection and more. Go and have a glass of chilled water right now!

2. Sleeping is good for you
Isn’t it just the best news you’ve heard in a while? Who knew taking naps would be so rewarding?

3. Your life doesn’t have to be documented on social media
Remember that you don’t have to update every one of your social media platforms. Instead of taking out your phone so often to update your status or to add to your Snapchat story, take in experiences and enjoy moments.

4. Being single doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you
It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. Remember that you’re just as brave, driven and fabulous. Own it, babe.

5. A lot can happen within the space of 10 minutes
Change is bound to happen, and it can happen in a small amount of time. So when you feel as if nothing is going your way, keep your head up and know that it can change within a few minutes.

6. It’s okay to cry every once in a while.
Let down your guard every once in a while because festering negative energy is bad news.

7. Hard work pays off
It’s all about having a goal to work towards. Have that incentive to work hard and to reach that goal of yours, and you’ll find out that hard work really does pay off.

Inspire your life! Check out these posts.

Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 2

Good morning to the final beautiful morning of 2015!

As the year comes to an end, we want to help you say goodbye to the things that you’d rather leave behind with the past year. We’re all for letting go, cleansing the soul and moving forward.

couple-598315_960_720

You’ve stumbled upon part two; you can read part one here x

Saying “no” to opportunities too often
Say goodbye to overthinking situations and letting yourself talk yourself out of opportunities. Just say “yes” and see what amazing things you could get up to.

Ungratefulness
Say goodbye to taking life for granted. Don’t complain as much and appreciate what you have, the people, the love and the support that you’re surrounded by. Go tell someone how much you love them!

Not ‘having time’ for important things
Say goodbye to not putting what’s important first. Get your priorities right and put more effort in to make time for the important things.

Being afraid
Say goodbye to the fear that you’ve built up. Whether it’s being afraid of letting someone fully in to your life, or if it’s your fear of spiders – work on it and ultimately tell yourself that you actually can conquer anything.

Cleanse your soul for the new year. Click here for Part 1.

Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 1

You’ve heard of New Year resolutions and for the most part, people never stick to them.

Instead, why not start fresh this week leading up to the new year by saying see ya later to the negativity in your life. Today and Thursday, Gold Vibez will be preparing your mind, body and soul for 2016 by letting go of the unwanted baggage you’ve maybe built up over this year.

IMG-2016

Get ready to greet the new year with an open heart and an open mind by saying goodbye to these things.

Thinking negatively about others
Say goodbye to negative thinking about people. It’s so easy to judge a book by its cover, so focus on steering away from that state of mind. Turn it around and think positively. More empowerment!

Poisonous people
Say goodbye to people who bring a whole lot of negativity into your life. You don’t need an excuse to walk away from relationships like these. It’s okay to be in control of who you let in to your life.

Body “standards”
Say goodbye to the pressure of reaching the “perfect body”. Set your own body goals and make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons. Remember babe, you’re already beautiful.

Thinking the worst in situations
Say goodbye to being a pessimist. It’s not a healthy thing to always expect the worst all the time, so stick to being more of an optimist in the new year.

Watch this space. Part 2 coming soon.

The Positivity of Full Moon Rituals

Tomorrow night on November 25th when the Moon makes itself present, venture outside and take part in a Full Moon Ritual.

Why? Simply because these Full Moon Rituals allow us to let go and release things that are not of our highest good. Think of it as taking one massive step in your life by symbolically moving forward.

Full Moon Rituals can be incredibly powerful. They’re all about releasing negativity, getting rid of any burdens in your life and celebrating your souls’ transformation. You emerge with a new positive behavior, attitude and relationship with yourself.

fullmoonritualsTomorrow night, get together with good company and good vibes only. Here are a few Full Moon rituals to cleanse your soul.

#1
In a circle, write down anything that you want to release on a piece of paper. One by one, open up, trust and share what you’ve just written down. Throw the piece of paper into a fire to symbolize resolution and release.

#2
Create a sacred ritual space and (if possible) position yourself under the Full Moon. Center yourself, breathe slowly and announce the purpose of this ritual. On a piece of paper, write down all negative things that you would like to release. Now you can rip it up, or you can burn it. Finally, connect with the Full Moon and give thanks for all things good.

#3
Fill a large bowl with water. On a piece of paper, write down what you would like to draw into your life. One by one, read these out loud then, altogether place your hands into the bowl of water. This symbolizes the cleansing of the old to welcome in the new.

Queen Bey quotes to live by

Everyone has a major crush on her and if you say you don’t – you’re lying.

She is the Queen and not only is she talented, but she’s incredibly insightful which is why she inspired so many guys and girls around the globe. Here are some of the many quotes from Bey that we can easily turn into our life mantra’s.

“I don’t have to prove anything to anyone, I only have to follow my heart and concentrate on what I want to say to the world. I run my world.”

“I have learned that it is no one else’s job to take care of me but me.”

“We have to teach our boys the rules of equality and respect, so that as they grow up gender equality becomes a natural way of life. And we have to teach our girls that they can reach as high as humanly possible.”

“As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal. “

“It’s important to concentrate on other qualities besides outer beauty.”

“When I’m not feeling my best I ask myself, ‘What are you gonna do about it?’ I use the negativity to fuel the transformation into a better me.”

“Put on your sexy dress and move on.”

Things To Tell Yourself Everyday

Goooood morning lovers and welcome to your Tuesday morning fix of motivation.

Today seems like a good day to really feel them good vibes and to spread it ’round. The best way to kick it all off is to tell yourself this morning that you’re in the best mood. Always start off your day positive – yes, even when you think you’ve got a crappy day ahead of you! There will always be a positive hiding in there somewhere.

So if you’re struggling to find a positive, be you’re own hype man (or woman!) and tell yourself these things. Erry. Damn. Day.
