Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 2

Good morning to the final beautiful morning of 2015!

As the year comes to an end, we want to help you say goodbye to the things that you’d rather leave behind with the past year. We’re all for letting go, cleansing the soul and moving forward.

You’ve stumbled upon part two; you can read part one here x

Saying “no” to opportunities too often
Say goodbye to overthinking situations and letting yourself talk yourself out of opportunities. Just say “yes” and see what amazing things you could get up to.

Ungratefulness
Say goodbye to taking life for granted. Don’t complain as much and appreciate what you have, the people, the love and the support that you’re surrounded by. Go tell someone how much you love them!

Not ‘having time’ for important things
Say goodbye to not putting what’s important first. Get your priorities right and put more effort in to make time for the important things.

Being afraid
Say goodbye to the fear that you’ve built up. Whether it’s being afraid of letting someone fully in to your life, or if it’s your fear of spiders – work on it and ultimately tell yourself that you actually can conquer anything.

Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 1

You’ve heard of New Year resolutions and for the most part, people never stick to them.

Instead, why not start fresh this week leading up to the new year by saying see ya later to the negativity in your life. Today and Thursday, Gold Vibez will be preparing your mind, body and soul for 2016 by letting go of the unwanted baggage you’ve maybe built up over this year.

IMG-2016

Get ready to greet the new year with an open heart and an open mind by saying goodbye to these things.

Thinking negatively about others
Say goodbye to negative thinking about people. It’s so easy to judge a book by its cover, so focus on steering away from that state of mind. Turn it around and think positively. More empowerment!

Poisonous people
Say goodbye to people who bring a whole lot of negativity into your life. You don’t need an excuse to walk away from relationships like these. It’s okay to be in control of who you let in to your life.

Body “standards”
Say goodbye to the pressure of reaching the “perfect body”. Set your own body goals and make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons. Remember babe, you’re already beautiful.

Thinking the worst in situations
Say goodbye to being a pessimist. It’s not a healthy thing to always expect the worst all the time, so stick to being more of an optimist in the new year.

Watch this space. Part 2 coming soon.

TRON SUNNIES

It’s all about the one and only Tron Sunnies.

The Tron Sunnies are the next essential accessory that you need to get your paws on. Perfect for showing off your style, the Tron Sunnies are on every fashionista’s must-have list.

Don’t be fooled – they aren’t your average pair of sunglasses. They have very subtle colored lenses and bring back the groovy to the modern day fashion guru. The Tron Sunnies are available in 2 colors: Black border with a blue lens or Red border with a pink lens. Both are equally dope AF.

Screenshot_2015-12-21-14-49-26Let’s talk about the frames on these sunnies. For the most part, the frames are clear, but the arms have a tortoiseshell print which gives the sunnies a little luxe feel.

These sunnies will have you snapping up a pair for yourself in no time because, for real, who wouldn’t want to rock these glasses?

LOOK FORWARD TO: The Winter Morning Commute

It’s important to kick off your day in a positive mood.

There’s no need to dread those cold and early morning starts to your day. It’s time to make your mornings something to look forward to.

How? Here are a few little things that we suggest you include in your Winter morning commute.

Screen Shot 2015-12-17 at 3.01.19 pmGrab yourself a warm Coffee to-go
There’s something so comforting about having a warm coffee cup in your hands. Every sip warms you up and warms the soul!

Listen to some chill new music
The winter morning commute gives you the perfect opportunity to discover new music. Who knows… maybe you’ll find a new favorite song to play on repeat?

Swap your phone scrolling with a book
Avoid reading on your phone screen so early in the morning. Your eyes won’t appreciate it and they’ll feel sore by the end of the day. Pick up a book instead and get lost in a story.

Bring out your favorite Winter accessories
Winter means winter fashion. It’s showing off the perfect coat that you’ve been dying to wear, it’s keeping your head warm with a beanie, it’s wrapping yourself in a scarf to keep cosy!

Christmas brings out everything that sparkles. Sparkly dresses, shimmery makeup and glittery decor. Now, you can Christmasify the beloved grey lip by adding a little bit of shimmer.greylip1

Simply apply your desired grey lip color as per usual. If you feel like you’ve searched every inch of the world to get your hands on a grey lip color, here’s one to check out, or you could use a grey eyeliner to fill in your lips!

DIY PAPER BUNTING

Get some DIY into you!

This is the perfect DIY for beginners to start off with, or a fun little project for creatives to try out. You’ll end up with a cute paper bunting that you can decorate any space with. You can use any type of paper that you’d like, so you can make one for the holidays, for a birthday, or even just for every day!

What You’ll Need
– Small Square Paper
– String
– Hole Puncher
– Scissors

Cut as many triangle shapes out of your square paper as you want. Do this by cutting from the top corners down to the bottom middle.

Punch holes near each top corner.

Weave through your string, connecting the triangles. Make sure that you expose as little string as possible.

Last step is to hang your DIY wherever you like!

A cozy movie marathon sounds perfect right now, doesn’t it?

FRED CLAUS
The ending is worth a watch of this movie. You won’t know whether to cry of joy or to let out an “AWWWW”.

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS
Who can say no to fetus Taylor Momson and the hilarity Jim Carrey? Because this movie has all of that, and more.

LOVE ACTUALLY
If you’re looking for an easy Christmas themed rom-com, this is your go-to. For realz though.

NAIL DETAIL: Wreath nail art

Time to ease into that good good festive spirit!

What better way to start feeling them Christmassy vibes than a festive mani? New nails give us life and we want you to feel the same way.

Here’s how to achieve festive and fashionable nails for the weeks of December.

What You’ll Need:
– Emerald Green Nail Varnish
– A light colored Nail Varnish (your choice)
– Small Nail Art brush
– Clear Top Coat

On fresh nails, apply 2 coats of your lighter Nail Varnish.

Choose a nail that you would like to draw the nail detail on and have some Emerald Green Nail color on your Nail Art Brush.

Using your Nail Art brush, paint on small dots in the outline of a circle.

On every dot, draw on small diagonal flicks. Then keep building up on flicks and stop whenever you’re happy with how it looks.

Paint on your top coat and ta-da! Done!

WRAP QUEEN: Creative Ways To Wrap Presents

We’ll let you take a moment to get over the fact that it’s already December and once you’re ready, we’ve got some inspiring tips and tricks for you to try out this Christmas.

It’s all about Gift Wrap today. To some, it’s a painful chore, but for others it’s a way to show off their amazing attention to detail. But in a few minutes, you’re going to be so inspired that you’ll want to do your gift wrapping right now.

All sewed up. Out of tape? No problem. Get unique and machine sew your wrapping paper together.

White on white on white. Go all out on a white Christmas this year with white wrapping paper, white ribbon and top it all off with a white swing tag. Such a simple and clean look.

The rustic look. This involves elements like fabric instead of paper, jute string instead of ribbons and a small stem of leaves for that organic vibe. This is sure to be an eye-catcher!

Night sky inspired. It’s simple. Black paper and a metallic marker. The rest is up to you! Draw something festive on the paper or, write something sentimental.

Read all about it! This is perfect for those who love reading, whether that be newspapers, glossy magazines or books. This idea will save you heaps of moolah and it’s a thoughtful way to wrap a gift this holiday season!

Looking for more ideas? These posts will have what you need.
